Celebration of Poetry | The Aoricot Tree

Featuring a finalist in the One Book One Community Student Poetry Contest. The Apricot Tree is written by Andrea Gyulai a 11th grade student at Winchester Thurston High School.

The Apricot Tree

Your pink dress rustles in the wind
The crooning bee's kiss scatters the seeds
Dew-drop clad grass glisten with magic, waiting
The sky-scape livelier at its prime
Sunbeam ripens
The tree blossoms as you beam with excitement
Days pass and soon a satisfied smile envelops you face
Finally the fruit is ripe.
