Exhibition: Shelter July 30, 2010 DEADLINE

Calling all artists, craftspersons, sculptors, and makers!!!

In the spirit of “green and re-purposed” for the artists among us we invite you to participate and submit entries to the Shelter art exhibition.

Sponsored by Pittsburgh Society of Artists (PSA) and held at Society of Contemporary Crafts satellite gallery at the One Mellon Bank Center. PSA will be donating their portion of
proceeds to House of Bread. For more information about this organization, please call 412.731.6221.

Entry fees:
PSA members -- $25.
Non members -- $35.
If artwork is sold the artist gets 50% of sale. All work insured by SCC while at gallery. Artist is responsible for insuring work during transit.

Artwork should adhere to the following guidelines:
Size restriction: Works must be no larger than 12” x 12” x 24” (longest dimension may be height, width or length.)
Artists are required to use green or re-purposed materials as a portion of their mediums as they interpret shelter through cutting edge contemporary craft. Works must be made primarily of craft media. This includes clay, fiber, metals, glass and found objects.

Please submit entries in digital format only, deadline postmarked July 30, 2010 and show dates September 30-November 28, 2010.

Juror: Kati Fishbein of Society of Contemporary Craft 3 jurors awards @ $100.
